Silke, Robin Thorben und Marcus

So I guess I should write some more information about what we are looking for at the moment.

After some time thinking and searching (we already considered a longer time to rent something different or buy a house / flat) we found by chance our new home.

I did ask for more information for a different house and after a telefonconversation with the relator and looking at the information again I found a link to a low energy house (KFW40). I just clicked and read the information available.

I wasn’t really blown away at first, as we did never considered the area the house was in at all, but after reading through the expose I though… hmm.. that looks interesting, let’s take a look at least.

At that sunday we just did go again on a house sightseeing tour, looking firstly at a 6 meter house in Neuss which was quite pleasant and fell more into our requirements, (except price and location) than all the other houses we did see up to this point. The dream of building an own house on own soil was but to the grave a long time ago as it isn’t really possible in the area we want to life.

After that we started to Grevenbroich-Kapellen just to take a look. Luckily for us you could visit the house so in we went. And we were surprised, we really liked it from the start. Location is good, 5 minutes to the railway with connection to Cologne and Düsseldorf, first train at 5:30 excactly right, 5 minutes to the motorway and than 15 minutes to the airport. You are in Neuss also in 15 Minutes and the kindergarden and school are also reachable in 5 minutes by foot. It is 100 meter to 2 new playgrounds and directly behind the house is some green area with walking pathes so you are not back to back with another neighbour. After the first contact we promised to be back and went hunting again, just to come back again and again to the house in Grevenbroich-Kapellen.

It has a lot of positive things and the negative things which are obivous atm like new area, not a big city could also be a positive think, especially as the contact with our a little bit more distant neigbours proofed really pleasant.

We finally decided after calculating back and forth for a long time for house number 8 with the adress of Apothekerpfädchen 11 (who ever thought about that one.. as apothekerpfad would alredy be a very small trail for / from a pharmacist, so now it is something even smaller and people always think they hear fädchen which is a small thread )

I think we made the right decission we have already planned alot and I think we know what we have to pay in total at the end, incl all our special wishes. One thing is for sure we will not get an Eurostar 2008 but an Eurostar, we liked the darker windows and front better than the white windows and yellow fronts.

The rest.. we will see… to be continued..

and are now owner of a to be build house. We will post some pictures of the land in the near future.

like a flash, I became 40 at the 2nd March, and Silke did celebrate her birthday 3 days later, but we are really busy at the moment. Our new pet project is taking all the time, we are going to build a house or better we are going to get a house build. So stay tuned.

On top of that the webpage is moving again, from 1blu to powweb.com, so it is back to the roots, as my first webpage was hosted by powweb too.

Today is our wedding anniversary,

I don’t have any religious connection with our wedding but I’m still glad that I’m married to such a great woman.

We will go out for dinner tonight and let the evening come to an nice end at home, when Robin is asleap.

at least for our website.

I called a dedicated server my own for a long time but I have come to the conclussion that I only need a somewhat smaller solution.

The website is running together with my RIP Edu-Magic site and the site of www.klapperstorch-mg.de on a vhost with 1blu.

This did put an end to hosting gameserver unfortunalty, but I highly enjoyed the chance to help so many people to devlop and test their maps during that time.
